I apologize. I missed this comment. But I’m replying now.

In a sense, I might agree with you, but stopping the binge eating of cookies isn’t as simple as “Don’t just binge eat cookies.” It’s an addiction. If I might use an analogy, asking an alcoholic to take a snifter of cognac before eating dinner might not be advisable because the addiction is kicked in. In other words, why eat that green stuff and take all that time to cook a nice rack of ribs, when another cookie is SO much more satisfying in the short term and lights up dopaminergic addiction neurons to make your reward get the kick it needs in your brain!

And it makes it much more satisfying, too. Don’t just binge eat cookies — have one small snack with sugar, and then watch as you immediately become hungry, then eat your healthy dinner in peace.
